Winter Rain & Snow Storm 12-28-2018

A large, winter storm blasted a large portion of Minnesota with snow and rainfall between December 26th & December 28th. For much of southeast Minnesota, this system was a rain storm bringing bringing upwards of 1 to 2 inches of rainfall to the area. Central, northern and western Minnesota saw mostly snow where snowfall amounts ranged from 6 to 24 inches with heaviest snowfall amounts falling over the higher terrain on the North Shore.

As of December 28th, December 2018 is now the 10th wettest December on record for Rochester with 2.09 inches of precipitation surpassing 2006 when we picked up 2.06″ of precipitation.
