A Promising May Outlook

The final week of April turned out to be an absolute dud as weather goes around of our with raw winds, periods of rain, and subnormal temperatures dominating the scene, but things have gotten better since we turned the page on the calendar. After a decent Sunday that featured at least some sunshine at times and lighter winds, we’re cruising into the work week on a pleasant note with sunshine, light winds, and seasonable warmth. Yes, that’s right, temperatures will be within a degree or two of the climate average and from here it looks like we’ll be experiencing more of this is not warmer stuff in the coming days or even weeks.

The latest 6 to 10 day outlook from the Climate Prediction Center has the entire region in a high probability of warmer than normal temperatures. as does the 8 to 14 day and even the full 30 day outlook, so 70s may become commonplace which bodes well for Mother’s Day revelers and those planning outdoor events like graduation parties.
