A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for much of our area until 9am Tuesday morning.
There is more concern this week with possible flooding. There is about 2-4″ of moisture stored up in the current snowpack, and rain on the way from Tuesday afternoon through Friday. Depending on how much rain we receive, and combined with a speedier thaw this week, there is valid concern for flooding throughout the region. Because of the potential for flooding later this week, the NWS office in Des Moines has issued preemptive Flood Warnings, valid indefinitely, for the Iowa and Cedar River basins in north Iowa.
