Well, this is a first! I’ve never done a blog before. But this is going to be a year of “firsts” for me. I want to branch out and try new things – become the woman I’ve always wanted to be!
I used to think of blogs as being a bit self indulgent. But when KTTC came to me asking if I’d start one for the New Year,…my perspective changed.
I thought, what do I love doing more than anything else? It’s to spend time with good friends, sharing, supporting, encouraging.
There’s nothing better than getting together with a group of girlfriends (and guy friends) and share decorating ideas, fashion finds, beauty tips, delicious recipes, great bargains, fun Pinterest postings,…the list goes on and on!
So that’s what this blog is going to be about. As I take on a New Year and try new things, I’ll share my discoveries with you…my passion for decorating and design, entertaining and party planning, fashion, make-up and hair…my successes, struggles and failures as I try - once and for all – to live up to my reoccurring resolution of getting in shape – and living my best life! Here’s the best part … “Let’s do it together!” Email me tips, photos and suggestions on how you plan to live your best life, and we can all inspire each other. Rwolfram@kttc.com

Hi Robin,
Congrats on your success with Medifast. My story is similar through Weight Watchers. I’ve been active for a year this coming March. You’re right, it’s a life style change and not a diet. Just remember, it’s life and life has ups and downs. If you have a rough week, or day with eating, just get right back to it the next day. You will have success!
Now for a recipe to share:
Roasted Sweet Potatoes
Drizzle 1/2 to 1 Tab. flavored or plain olive oil in a casserole dish.
Peel and chunk 2 or 3 sweet potatoes.
Add to dish and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and oregano. Toss and repeat the olive oil and seasonings.
Cover. Roast 350* for one hour.
Enjoy!
Good luck with your plan and have a blast in Mexico.
Sincerely,
Barbara Corcoran
Thanks Barbara! I DID have a bit of a challenging weekend with the telethon, but am right back on it today! Can’t wait to try your sweet potatoes. And CONGRATULATIONS to you on your WW success! I’ve heard of so many people doing well with that program! How much weight have you lost so far? Again, congratulations and thank you for the words of encouragement!
Hi Robin,
Thanks for responding to my message. Wow, did you ever look nice coming back from Mexico. I have to say I’m jealous. My husband and I usually go to Florida in the winter to visit relly’s but this year our 2 sons are getting married so that was our vacation.
How is the weight loss going for you? I hope you’re having success even if it’s small. Baby steps…the ounces lost add up.
You asked about my weight loss. I’m hovering right at a 35 lbs loss. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I hit it tomorrow at the meeting. I am below my goal and haven’t paid for quite some time now but I continue to go to the weekly meetings. The friend I go with is at 30 lbs lost. I really feel it’s an excellent program. I usually leave every meeting with encouragement to continue and usually some tips to help get through the week. We can eat anything as everything has a point value but as you know some days, weeks, or events can be very challenging. Have you ever gone to a meeting? The meeting place is in Barlow Plaza about 2 doors down from Mestad’s. Stop in if you get the notion. I don’t think you’d be disappointed.
Take care.
Barb
